BIA/Kelsey is the leading provider of strategic research and analysis, data and competitive metrics on Yellow Pages, electronic directories, local search, SMB advertising and local media. We provide high-value market intelligence and actionable recommendations in the form and at the time our clients need them. Our products and services evaluate business, social, economic and technology trends that are changing the local market, and the effect these trends will have on our clients’ businesses. We continually build on our knowledge base through daily interaction with clients and proprietary research. Clients are senior executives of companies that need independent, objective perspectives on Yellow Pages, electronic directories, local search, SMB advertising and local media trends. Importantly, our focus is on business strategy and marketing rather than the technology itself. Since our founding, BIA/Kelsey
has studied, analyzed and reported on Yellow Pages, electronic directories,
local online commerce, enhanced directory assistance, operator-assisted
services, voice and wireless commerce and interactive newspapers. Today,
we focus on local advertising through our Continuous Advisory Services, The
Kelsey Report®, Interactive
Local Media,
Marketplaces,
Mobile Local Media and Digital Strategies
for Broadcasting; the Local
Media Blog; proprietary research
and forecasts; and highly targeted industry events.
In October 2008, The Kelsey Group was acquired by BIA Advisory Services, LLC, and is now known as BIA/Kelsey. The combination of BIA and The Kelsey Group creates a powerful resource for companies operating in the transitioning local media marketplace. Together, BIA and The Kelsey Group plan to focus on the strategies, services and data companies operating in the local media space require to be innovative and successful in today’s market. Although challenges abound, there are many fruitful opportunities on the horizon, and we look forward to helping our clients thrive.
