Warren Kay
Managing Director , Strategic Alliances
Yahoo!

Warren Kay is the Managing Director of Strategic Alliances for Yahoo! He joined the organization in July 2003 and is responsible for the incubation and market sales strategy for all new and emerging products in Yahoo! Search Marketing, which currently include Local, Content Match, Mobile and Search Optimizer. 

Previously, Warren was the Director of Sales for Local Search, helping develop the market strategy for Yahoo! Search Marketing Local Sales. Prior to his career at Yahoo!, he was the Senior Vice President at Vista Software where he was responsible for driving revenue through partnership development with Fortune 500 companies. Warren also worked for Citysearch where he held several integral roles, including Director of Sales and Training, and General Manager for their Chicago office.

He received his BA in Economics University of Texas in Austin.

 

 

Geneviève LeBrun

 

Geneviève LeBrun

Trader Corp.

Geneviève LeBrun has been vice president, marketing, of Trader Corp. since June 2006. She is responsible for all marketing activities, including the management of the brand portfolio for the automotive, real estate and generalist verticals.

Prior to that position, LeBrun was vice president, marketing, of Yellow Pages Group and had been part of that company and predecessor businesses since 1995. During her 10 years at YPG, LeBrun has played a key role in positioning the company as a market leader while overseeing the national marketing programs and product development. She was also responsible for all the company’s external communications initiatives. She contributed to the sale of the company from Bell Canada in 2002, and then became one of the key players behind the renaissance of the Yellow Pages brand.

In 2003, LeBrun actively participated in the company’s initial public offering, the largest income trust IPO in Canadian history, and in the acquisition of SuperPages in 2005. Following this acquisition, she helped reintroduce the Yellow Pages brand in Western Canada.  

LeBrun has acquired a well-deserved reputation for her team-building and team-motivation skills, as well as her ability to achieve common goals. In 2005, she was honored by the Réseau HEC for her overall career achievements. She was appointed to the International Classified Media Association Committee in 2007.

LeBrun holds a Bachelor of Commerce and an M. Sc. in marketing from the École des Hautes Études Commerciales (Montréal).

 

 

Scott Pomeroy

 

Scott Pomeroy

Local Insight Media

Scott Pomeroy is president and CEO of Local Insight Media, with overall responsibility for the company’s strategy, growth and value creation. In its first year of operation, Local Insight acquired four directory publishers, negotiated a definitive agreement to acquire the Hawaiian Telcom Yellow Pages and prepared to oversee operations for Windstream Yellow Pages under an agreement with its buyer, Welsh Carson Anderson & Stowe.  Now the fifth-largest directory publisher in the U.S., Local Insight expects to have more than $400 million under its management by the end of 2007. 

Before joining Local Insight, Pomeroy was executive vice president and chief financial officer of Dex Media, where he also served in other key leadership positions, including senior vice president of finance and vice president/treasurer. During his tenure, Pomeroy was instrumental in achieving a successful “carve-out” from Qwest and in raising more than $10 billion in debt financing and $1 billion in equity financing in a successful IPO. 

Over the course of his 23-year career, Pomeroy has held leadership positions in diverse industries, including CFO for Eotec Capital and president and chief operating officer of Lewis Food Groups. He began his career with KPMG Peat Marwick.

Pomeroy holds a B.B.A. in accounting from the University of New Mexico and is a certified public accountant (inactive).

Kathy Hipple

Ambassador Media Group

Kathy Hipple was one of Ambassador's founders in 1999. Following a Wall Street career, where she served as vice president of International Institutional Sales at Merrill Lynch for eight years, Hipple joined Ambassador in early 2000.

Her background in journalism and finance guided her early efforts to raise outside capital to fund Ambassador's growth, and to produce and edit the unique editorial features throughout each of the directories. Hipple also organized and streamlined every department, leading Ambassador to the forefront of the independent yellow page publishing industry.

She currently serves on the board of directors of the Yellow Pages Association.
