PRECON: Special Interest Groups
New for ILM:10, we’ll be holding “Special Interest Groups” for directories and broadcasters. These SIGs, held concurrently, will review major issues in their respective shifts to online and mobile. They will include a program overview, compelling presentations and top tier technology demonstrations.

Directories SIG
The future of the Yellow Pages industry global is being transformed by new technologies and new ways of doing business with core small and medium sized businesses and national businesses alike. In particular, BIA/Kelsey sees lead generation and tracking, reputation management, social networking and mobile as some of the leading developments that will transform the industry. We will hear from solution providers who are experiencing success with directory publishers and other media properties.

Broadcasters SIG
The Broadcasters Special Interest Group will focus on case studies of successful digital strategies for broadcasters. These will be presented by executives from Griffin Communications, Fisher Communications and Schurz Communications. Griffin will present several case studies of its niche stragies involving sports, directories and deals, and moms. Fisher will present a review of its hyperlocal efforts, as well as a case study of “Buzz Brands,” which involves launching lifestyle vertical Web sites across the country. Schurz will present case studies of its local mobile products and apps, including its “Mobile BEAT.”
