of Swedish Print Market Suggests "Migration" Underway
AB, Sweden's leading directory publisher and a presence in multiple European
markets, held a half-day briefing with financial analysts this week in
London. Eniro's mission was to reinforce that the company, which derives
more than 30 percent of its revenues from non-print sources today, is
very well positioned to continue growing, even as growth of the core printed
directory product begins to slow in its home market.
Eniro has always made
a convincing case that it is one of the best-positioned companies in the
world to withstand migration of revenues from print to online. Times are
such that Eniro may now have a chance to prove its case with hard evidence.
The company operates
largely in markets with high Internet penetration, heavy mobile usage
and a population of new technology early adopters. Eniro has a robust
network of Internet properties that are among the traffic leaders in all
their markets, and the company is moving faster than most of its peers
to leverage its local content and local sales leadership position into
the emerging local commercial search category.
