Issue: Listings Powerhouse Plans to Photograph Virtually All SMEs

News:, the leading provider of basic Yellow Pages listings data to consumer online Yellow Pages directories, has undertaken an ambitious new initiative called “infoPIX.” It involves sending crews with video cameras to photograph every storefront in markets larger than 5,000 people and adding still images from the video to each storefront’s listing in the infoUSA Yellow Pages database.

The company has already gathered this data for 750,000 businesses in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Omaha through its VideoYellowPages ( division. plans to log images on six million listings over the next 12 months.
